Meet the Maker
Join us at The Runholder each Friday in August to Meet the maker!
Each week a different maker will be on hand, pouring something special (to be revealed!) and guiding tastings in an informal, drop-in style setting.
Come for a sip, a chat, and a deeper look into what makes their craft so special.
All tastings are complimentary, and bookings are not required.

John Kavanagh from Te Kairanga
Pinot Noir remains at the beating heart of Te Kairanga. Small parcels of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Riesling showcase the abundance of our region.

Rachel Hall from Lighthouse Gin
The first female Head Distiller in New Zealand, Rachel has been crafting Lighthouse by hand since 2014.

Tom Turner from Martinborough Vineyard
As one of the first to plant Pinot Noir, in 1980, Martinborough Vineyard now lay claim to the oldest Pinot Noir vines not only Martinborough, but also New Zealand.
Sip & Savour
Thursday lunch set menu
Sip and Savour with our new Thursday lunch set menu — a seasonal dining experience for just $55 per person. Begin with a glass of Te Kairanga wine and artisan sourdough, then choose between our famous lamb ribs or crispy salmon for your main.
A perfect way to catch up with friends over a relaxed and flavoursome lunch. Available every Thursday throughout winter.
Thursday lunch 12pm - 3pm
Two courses and a glass of Te Kairanga Wine: $55 per person
Bookings are suggested.
Sunday Roast
Every Sunday throughout winter
Each Sunday we alternate between Roast Lamb leg, Beef Sirloin and Pork Belly. Served with with all the trimmings... duck fat roasties, slow cooked baby onions, roasted root vegetables & caraway seed steamed market greens.
To finish enjoy a sticky toffee pudding, butterscotch sauce & cultured cream.
